The M.S.A.D. #55 14th Annual Adult Education Graduation Ceremony was a wonderful event that was held on Thursday, June 10, at 7:00 p.m. at the South Hiram Elementary School Gymnasium. There were fourteen graduates. Congratulations to each and every one. The event was shared by family and friends with lovely music and lots of great food and refreshments. Adult education graduates work very hard to achieve their goals. It is an honor to provide a special time to recognize adult learners to celebrate with their families and friends.
A sincere thank you goes out to the following individuals for making this event so amazing:
Betsy Orr and Clay Neidlinger for bringing us music along with Judy Ingram for being the Keynote Speaker.
Also, thank you to the following merchants who graciously donated food items for this event:
*Masons Variety Store * Standish Hannaford* Windham Walmart* Windham Shaws*
Have a safe ande happy summer vacation.
See you in the fall. Look back within the next couple of weeks for the upcoming course curriculum. Just because it is summer vacation doesn't mean the adult education staff stops working to bring you some wonderful courses for the fall. Several new courses will be offered such as: Zumba, fall gardening courses, watercolor painting, energy saving tips workshop, and a canning and preserving workshop just to list a few.
As always, if you have a skill, talent, or specific course offering that you would like to share with the adults in our community, please forward your proposal to the M.S.A. D. #55 Adult and Community Education office or feel free to call the office.
Watch for the August mailing of the Fall 2010 course listing as a supplement in Your WeeklyShopping Guide. Also, a walk-in registration is scheduled for Tuesday, September 21, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. As always, for more information you may contact 625-3092. There is an answering machine for summer calls.
